This water-based
translucent product is designed for GLITTY Interior Paints and
must be applied using decorative
paint applicators. This product's open
time allows you to create unique decorative wall designs.
Where to use?
- It is ideal for interior walls and ceilings,
previously painted or primed. Should be used on a GLITTY
Interior Paint base.
Colors
- Ue offer you several combinations
of colors, bases and glazes from witch you must select
the ones that complements the
surroundings and furnishings.
Techniques
Is recomandable to practice the technique on a bord, in
order to establish the effect you wish to obtain.
Prime and paint the selected base color. Allow to dry. Use the
appropriate tool to practice desired effect (natural
or synthetic sponge, brush ,lather pieces fixed on a roller, various
types of clothes). You should practice in the
room to be painted, in natural light. The
basic idea is to apply or remove the glaze from the painted base using
different tools for regular or random patterns.
Preparation
- Remove loose paint, wash off any dirt and grease with detergent,
eliminate mildew stains with GLITTY Mildew
Stain Remover.
- Scuff sand glossy surfaces.
- Countersink nail heads, repair imperfections and sand smooth.
- Remove all dust with a damp cloth, allow to dry.
- Allow new stucco, plaster and masonry to cure for 30 days before
priming.
Prime
- Use GLITTY Primer & Sealer
Application
- Apply
the glaze over a
properly prepared painted surface
- Work in 1 sqm areas
- For easier and faster application on large surfaces,
two people may be required.
- Coverage
may vary depending upon the surface and the desired
effect.
Dry Time
- Dries to touch in 30 minutes at 25°C and 50% humidity, re-coat in
three hours. Longer dry time required in cooler
temperatures and in
higher humidity.
- After 30 days, surface may be cleaned with a mild
liquid detergent.
Clean Up
- Use soap and water.
- Properly dispose of all soiled rags and protect unused product
from freezing.
** WARNING! Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or
other means may generate dust or fumes that may contain lead. Exposure
to lead dust or fumes may cause serious health injury, especially in
children or pregnant women. Controlling exposure to lead or other
hazardous substances requires the use of proper protective equipment
such as a properly fitted respirator and proper containment and
cleanup.
